Hoser Day in Dawson City

by Bennie Allain with Jared Klok

Bennie Allain performs his songs, with Jared Klok at a concert with 2 - 5 people in the audience. He sings songs about coyotes who steal Toyotas in the middle of the night (toyota coyotes); a hermit who falls in love but is ashamed of his lack of luxuries (tarp roof): the hesitation of going out in public during a pandemic (everybody’s dirty mouth); the sputtering relationship of two small-town rink rats depending on a good card at the bingo or a good run at the scratch tickets (rink rats); someone succumbing to cabin fever reflects longingly his once true love ( time flies houseflies) and the beginnings of that (a headlock); playing hopscotch by midnight sunlight (uninvited); the power of a pot of soup on a cold day (how to make a pot of soup).

As part of CFYT 106.9fm Online Couch Concert series, highlighting Yukon musicians via live-stream performances.
